In May of
2006, we traveled to Panama to evaluate
the possibility of moving there
permanently. The people we were dealing
with in Panama were not being very
helpful and made things seem very
difficult and expensive. Then one day we
walked by the office of Ms. Berliza
Arosemena and we decided to walk in,
things changed drastically almost
immediately. She provided us what
proved to be very accurate and timely
information and guided us through all
the steps we needed to take to apply for
our residence. And to our surprise, she
personally took care of many of the
steps other law offices require their
clients to handle personally. She made
an appointment and accompanied us to a
bank where we were able to open a
checking account. She then accompanied
us to the Immigration Office to register
our passports, the first step in the
application process. We left for Miami
and, upon our return we brought all the
documents she requested, properly
authenticated as she had instructed us
to do. The next day she accompanied us
to the Immigration Office and, in a very
short time, we were able to complete the
application process. Few weeks later we
had our resident visa approved and the
same day she helped us obtain our
“Pensionado” ID card. After that, she
